- Optionally layer konnakol syllables and a Sa+Pa drone.
- Press play to begin the cycle, or enable a tempo ramp for graded practice.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a tala?
- A tala is the rhythmic cycle in Carnatic music — a fixed sequence of beats (anga) with claps (laghu) and waves (drutam) that loops continuously.
- What does gati mean?
- Gati is the subdivision of each beat. Chatusra gati subdivides into 4, tisra into 3, khanda into 5, misra into 7, and sankirna into 9.
- Can I practice silently with just the kriya glyphs?
- Yes. Mute the audio and follow the visual kriya glyphs — claps and waves — to internalise the cycle without sound.
