PsychStreet
A psychology-led publication that lives on a phone and reads like a quiet magazine.

The problem
Psychology writing online is either academic and unreadable or reduced to clickbait. PsychStreet wanted a third thing: short, honest pieces about everyday moments that a reader could finish on a phone in a few minutes and come back to the next day.
Constraints
- Reading on a phone, often in short windows — the layout had to respect a thumb and a minute.
- A small editorial team publishing on a steady cadence, so the content model had to be simple to run.
- Install without an app store, and keep working when the connection drops.
The approach, in order
- /01
Started from the reading experience: type scale, measure, and spacing were set before any component existed.
- /02
Modelled content as short pieces with a consistent shape, so every article renders well without per-article design.
- /03
Shipped as a progressive web app — installable to the home screen, cached for offline reading, no store approval cycle.
- /04
Kept the interface out of the way: navigation and chrome recede so the writing carries the page.
What it does now
An always-on publication people actually return to.
